Volunteers from across Northern Ireland and MindWise staff (Volunteer Department, Communications and CEO of MindWise) came together in a day of celebration and appreciation in accordance with Volunteers Week (1st - 7th June).
There were 25 volunteers and 4 staff in attendance with volunteers coming from as far afield as Magherafelt and Lurgan.
Our Venue for the day was the picturesque landscape of The National Trust - Castle Ward. On arrival we enjoyed a lively tour around the house, finding out that not all was as it seemed behind the grandeur of the Manor. We then relaxed in the cosy tea rooms cafe and where we were treated to a buffet style lunch....complete with a cuppa!
Afterwards Volunteers were presented with individual Certificates and pins to show appreciation of their time, dedication and efforts in all their Volunteer roles over the many weeks, months and for some...years!
There was a laid back, relaxing atmosphere to the whole day and Volunteers could be heard sharing their experiences and stories whilst making new friendships. A great day had by all!
